Volunteer Opportunities
The Shelter depends on volunteers to complete its mission. There are numerous opportunities for individuals and groups to personally participate in The Shelter's operations.

Volunteers
Seven days a week, volunteers are utilized to help serve our guests. The minimum shift is three hours; starting times are 4:45 pm or 6:45 pm. Occasionally we have events or fundraisers that require extra participants as the need arises.

Evening Meal Providers
Church groups, civic groups, state or government offices can provide dinner or breakfast for the up to 130 guests that we serve daily. People can deliver and serve the meal, or just drop off at our kitchen if desired. Maximum is usually 6-8 people to participate inside The Shelter due to kitchen size. Dinner is served by 7:30 pm each evening, and our breakfast time is 7:00 am.

Group Projects
Groups can do the following projects for The Shelter:
Collect operational supplies such as disposable razors, toothbrushes, toilet paper, laundry detergent, coffee and sugar.
Collect socks and blankets for Shelter guests.
Organize fundraising drives for the Emergency Fund or Women's Center to provide additional client services.

Community Service
Community Service shifts are available for those who have hours to be worked by court order. Community service workers must schedule their hours in person and must bring their court papers with them. Call (850)224-9055 to find out when you can come to schedule your time.
